Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Correct. To view rate quotes, the quote tool only requires your age, gender, general health assessment, tobacco use status, the death benefit amount you want, and how many years you need coverage. Only if you proceed to apply do we collect your name, address, and full health history.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates displayed are what each carrier quotes for the health category you selected in the form. After you apply and carriers complete underwriting, your final rate may be better, stay the same, or be higher than quoted. Everything on this site is informational only and does not guarantee any particular rate or coverage.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you click Apply, your answers from the quote tool transfer into a protected online form that continues on the carriers' system. You can save your progress and return at any time. Your signature is applied electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance broker (License 0B75129), processes the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and your specific answers to the health questions. Some carriers can decide immediately for qualified candidates. Each quote on this site shows whether medical testing is required, possibly required, or not needed for that carrier's underwriting.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover years when your income is irreplaceable: a home loan, dependent children, business obligations. Longer terms lock in lower rates for more years but cost more monthly. The tool lets you compare pricing for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms to find your best option.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not capture personal information; we do not retain or distribute visitor data; and we use privacy-respecting analytics that do not rely on tracking cookies. Visit the privacy page for complete details on what information is collected by whom.
